This document summarizes SREB's latest policy recommendations for achieving the Challenge to Lead Goals for Education. It provides SREB's 16 member states with nearly 50 specific actions to help them continue the momentum of educational improvement in the region. Included are steps to better prepare students for transitions to the next educational level; help close achievement gaps among racial/ethnic, income and gender groups; and hold schools and colleges more accountable for meeting state needs.
