Representative Gipson automatically serves on the Council by virtue of being a legislative member of the Board. Senator Larry D. Dixon of Montgomery and Senator Vivian Davis Figures of Mobile are gubernatorial appointees to the Council. Representative Gipson is the Council's Chair.
