Senator Hill automatically serves on the Council by virtue of being a legislative member of the Board. Senator Dan Moody of Alpharetta, Representative Brooks P. Coleman Jr. of Duluth, and Representative Jan S. Jones of Milton are gubernatorial appointees to the Council.

The Legislative Action section of this Web site reports on the 16 member states' legislative activities related to education, which are summarized in the Legislative Reports and in the Legislative Briefing after all sessions conclude. Final Legislative Action reports compile actions from all 16 SREB States.
