University, received one of two national Faculty Mentor of the
Year awards earlier this month at the annual Institute on Teaching and
Mentoring Oct. 29-Nov. 3 in New Orleans.
The Institute is the nation’s largest annual gathering of
underrepresented doctoral students and college faculty members of
color.

Rana Johnson, Kansas State University’s Vice President for
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, was honored with this
year’s Frank Abbott Award at the Institute on Teaching and
Mentoring Oct. 30 to Nov. 3 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Scholars affiliated with the SREB-State Doctoral Program and
seven other scholarship programs, including the Alfred
P. Sloan Foundation Scholars Program.
