States saved $8.3 million on $84 million in technology purchases in fiscal year 2018 through SREB participation in discount agreements.
Purchasing and saving through the contracts were up more than 150 percent over fiscal year 2017. State by state, the numbers ranged from $17,000 off $171,000 in purchases in Delaware to $4 million saved on $40 million in tech purchases in North Carolina.
Schools, universities and agencies in each of the 16 SREB states are eligible for the savings through SREB collaboration with the Midwestern Higher Education Compact on cost containment strategies.
