Carita Venable joined SREB’s office of School Improvement in 2015. As a senior leadership coach, she brings more than 20 years of educational experience.

Prior to SREB, Carita served as an English language arts teacher, instructional coach, district school improvement supervisor, assistant principal and principal in school districts throughout the Jefferson County region.

Carita holds a bachelor’s of arts in English from the University of Montevallo, a master’s in secondary education from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, and a master’s in instructional leadership from Samford University.
