Christi Edwards works in SREB School Improvement, where she provides teacher, district and school instructional support through coaching and professional development in mathematics. She joined SREB in 2021, bringing more than 28 years of experience in public education. Christi was a high school mathematics teacher for 25 years before serving as a secondary mathematics instructional coach/specialist for middle and high school teachers for three years.  She also taught as an adjunct instructor for statistics and mathematics education at the community college and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Christi holds a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics with a concentration in education and a master’s in mathematics education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is also a National Board certified teacher and mentor. Christi is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in educational practice and innovation with a concentration in curriculum studies from the University of South Carolina. She currently resides in North Carolina.
