Senator Billy Hickman of Statesboro and Representative Matt Dubnik of Gainesville serve on the Council by virtue of being legislative members of the Board.  
Representative Mack Jackson of Sandersville and Senator Freddie Powell Sims of Dawson are gubernatorial appointees to the Council.
